I'm Camille G., the breeder behind Family and Farm Friendly Dachshund located in Sacramento, CA. Family dogs raised in home and started with exposure and socializing on the farm. While I only have occasional litters my family has had this line of dachshunds for generations. Focus on excellent temperaments and health.
Q. & A. with Camille
Why did you start breeding?
My family got our first dachshund about 15 years ago. She turned in to the best family dog and inspired a love for the breed. Growing up my mother raised and showed dogs it has always been a part of my life. I grew up in 4-h and still raise and show rabbits and livestock. I enjoy the many things you learn.
What makes your program special?
Puppies are given the best start in our living room and well loved from day 1. While we are very careful about outings we do start taking them out on our property. I believe being out and exposed to life really helps with socializing and a well rounded pup. Having an occasional litter I am able to plan and dedicate care. While I also get to meet wonderful families.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have smooth coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include piebald, fawn (isabella) and cream, and chocolate and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
