I'm Tara D., the breeder behind Family Corgis NC located in Reidsville, NC. Thank you for your interest in our puppies!
We own both, our sire and our dam, they are our family pets. We are not breeders; we do not keep several males and females to rotate and breed continuously, our dogs are not kept in crates, they have full run of our home and yard. We have a large family with children ages 9+, we have other dogs and cats as well. Therefore, your puppy will be socialized with people as well as other animals.
Both Mom (Maggie) & Dad (Max) are registered AKC purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Mom is red and white while Dad is Tri Color. Mom has champion in her bloodline. Per DNA, both Dam and Sire are EIC and VWD negative as well as negative for some coat traits that are not desirable for Corgis. Neither has yet been OFA/x-rayed for hips. Since whelping, Maggie has been a wonderful and attentive mother! Maggie has a very strong, dominant, smart personality while Max is very laid back (& smiles a lot!) After much research and consideration, we have decided to NOT dock tails or remove dew claws of puppies. As mentioned above, we love our pets and therefore consider their health and well-being first and foremost. While we agree that Corgis are adorable with their fuzzy butts, we will not put the puppies through procedures that do not utilize anesthetic, cause pain, bleeding, are now illegal in many countries, and that even most vets nearby us will no longer do. I am glad to answer any questions you may have!

The experience was wonderful! It was my first time going through a breeder and they were very communicative the entire way and kept me updated very frequently with pictures and such. When it came time to pick up my puppy I drove about 4 hours from a few states away, I had some problems with my trip as far as delays with car issues but they were very understanding and accommodating for the time we did arrive. The pick-up went very smoothly, I can tell they cared for the puppy and vice versa. The puppy is healthy and has all of its paper work. 10/10.
