I'm Emily & Chris B., the breeder behind Farmer Brown's Puppies located in Sedalia, MO. We are huge animal lovers and have a special place in our hearts for our dogs. We want to provide top-quality beloved companions. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We thought raising puppies would be a great way for our kids to get some hands on experience raising animals-we have allergy sufferers in the family, so sticking to the hypoallergenic breeds of miniature schnauzers, poodles, and schnoodles was a no brainer for us, as we wanted to give other families access to these breeds, as well!

  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies are raised in our home with all our children, so they get lots of attention and stimulation daily. We strive to produce high quality puppies that will bring years of joy to other families.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Miniature Schnauzer puppies include white, salt and pepper, black and silver, and black. Schnoodle puppies include sable, white, silver, brown, black, and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Emily & Chris

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $700 - $2,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"The price includes a one year health guarantee, up to date vaccinations and dewormings, microchipping, the ability to register the puppy, a health certificate after an examination by our veterinarian, and a 30 day trial for Trupanion pet insurance. The deposit is non refundable, but may be transferable, at our discretion."

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    I highly, highly recommend Emily and family. She was so easy and delightful to work with. Our little pup is a schnoodle and he is absolutely wonderful. We previously had two little dogs, one of which was a rescue who had very high needs. We cared for him for 15 years until he passed away 2 years ago. Now we have three little kids and we also have strong dog allergies in our family and so we needed to be very thoughtful about the next pup we welcomed into our lives. Emily was so incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. She was so open and honest. Emily was happy to do an allergy test with us whereas other breeders I contacted brushed me off and said their dogs wouldn't be a problem. It is very clear that Emily and family take great care in breeding and raising their pups. I flew from Maine all the way to Kansas City pick up our pup and I would gladly do it again. He's the sweetest and friendliest and cuddliest. He's still very young but we can tell he's quite smart. He's been absolutely amazing with our kids and our young nieces. He's already had his first vet visit and did amazingly well. He has such a good temperament and we're so, so happy he's here. I am also happy to report no allergy issues.     It was a pleasure to work with Emily and Chris! Communication was plentiful and questions answered in a timely manner. They were very helpful in our preparation to bring our puppy home.
