Meet the breeder

I'm Stephanie B., the breeder behind Faunus Farms and Aussies located in Macomb, MO. We are lifelong dog enthusiasts, and we’re excited to share our passion and purpose with others through our breeding program. We’re passionate about raising the best family companions possible. We’re so excited to start sharing the joy and excitement of life with one of our pups!

Q. & A. with Stephanie

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our family moved back to MO in 2023 and bought 74 acres of pretty much raw land here and have been working to get the property the way we'd like. We homeschool, garden, raise animals and our dogs are our partners. The deeper we've gotten in, the more work it's been. But we wouldn't have it any other way! We love our lives here and the company we keep!
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs live on a farm with sheep, pigs, rabbits and chickens. We try to introduce them to our animals while young so that they will easily be placed in a work environment. We also have carefully chosen each of our breeders via markings, bloodlines, and other reputable breeders. We practice ENS and early training with our litters as well,as feel it is of high importance.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Stephanie was great she was and is so helpful plus very knowledgeable about the breed!! Stephanie trained Luna (My Puppy) to not be afraid of other animals or people! I traveled for 2 days to get to pick up Luna and then another 2 to days to bond with her what a wonderful time we had with a 2 month old pup in the car! If I ever get another Dog I want it to be from Stephanie at her farm!! Thank you for such a wonderful time and many more to come, You are awesome!!

Stephanie was fantastic through the entire process of getting our sweet little Aussie. She was very committed to making sure our questions were answered, we never had to wait on replies as Stephanie was always quick to reply. All the research I did and other breeders I looked into, Faunus kept coming back as the best choice for us. We were even able to meet halfway to pick our baby girl up. We are an Aussie family and will definitely be talking to Stephanie in the future the next addition to our family.

Stephanie was a breeze to work with through the entire process. We were provided photos from her frequently along with updates on how our puppy was doing. Prior to picking him up. She does a tremendous job with the beginning of training for the puppies. She has answered any questions we have had since picking him up and was a pleasure to talk with and meet when we picked him up. We would recommend Stephanie if you are looking for a Australian Shepard in the future!

I recently got an Australian Shepherd puppy named Ozzy from Stephanie at Faunus Farms and Aussies, and our experience was fantastic! I reached out to Stephanie after seeing one of her litters online, and within a few hours I already had a response. Every interaction was very positive — she was always quick to respond, very helpful, and happy to answer any questions I had. Stephane also went above and beyond to accommodate our schedule, even meeting us halfway to pick up our new pup. Upon arrival she provided us with a bag of a couple of toys and food as well as a set of paperwork for both parents detailing lineage and some genetic testing. Since bringing Ozzy home, he has been such an amazing addition to our family. Whether he is chasing a ball in the backyard, curling up on the couch, or learning new tricks with his incredible intelligence, Ozzy has made our lives so much brighter! If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and caring breeder, I would definitely recommend Stephanie!
