I'm Carol J D., the breeder behind 'FERRY TAIL' DACHSHUNDS located in Glenns Ferry, ID. Our dogs ar.e our beloved companions. We care deeply about this breed and are proud to be responsible Dachshund breeders. We are home-based breeders dedicated to bringing healthy, loving, and high-quality Dachshunds into the homes and hearts of their forever families. We do genetic and health testing of the adult dogs to provide the best quality puppies we can. We love our dogs and are passionate about raising our puppies to be the best family companions.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have had dachshunds since I was in grade school. I started breeding them in 1992. When I started: 'FERRY' TAIL DACHSHUNDS

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs are not just dogs they are part of my family, and I only produce three or four litters per year. My puppies are loved, handled and socialized from the day they are born until the day they are handed off to their new home.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, wild boar, brindle, wild boar and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Carol J

Carol J has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 deposit and between $700 - $900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes 100% healthy purebred dachshund puppy, comes with socialization skills, complete health check, first round of shots and worming. Deposit is 100% non-refundable if for any reason the buyer changes their mind or backs out of agreements. I will however refund the deposit if there is an issue on my end and I cannot deliver a 100% perfectly healthy happy puppy.”
