Q. & A. with Dee

  • Why did you start breeding?

Before I was born my Grandparents were very active with the AKC. I heard many stories of my Grandparents and my mother raising, breeding & showing Scotties. My Grandfather was a Delegate for the Scotties Club of America and loved showing his own dogs. Years later my mother raised AKC miniature poodles. I enjoyed hearing stories of my family and their love of dogs and growing up with them. I had always hoped I would find the time to raise and breed my own dogs. I have a deep passion for Labrador Receivers.
  • What makes your program special?

Every great Breeding program begins with research. Mine is no different. Here are the things I looked for before becoming a breeder. *AKC Registered Dogs- I believe the AKC works hard to record, maintain, research and share a wealth of knowledge for both breeders and buyers/families. *Starting with good tempered dogs is a MUST. *Health testing for genetic diseases is also a MUST- responsible breeders test, plan and schedule their breeding to not only ensure they produce healthy puppies but that they breed based on health guide lines of their female. *Pedigree is important if you are raising puppies to become Field or Show dogs. *Raising your dogs & puppies in the home -I believe all companion animals should be raised in the home where they become well adjusted, trusted, and loved family companions.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
