I'm Sarah M., the breeder behind Field Stone Border Collies: FSBC located in West Valley City, UT. Our dogs are our beloved companions. We care deeply about this breed and are proud to be responsible Border Collie breeders. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!
Q. & A. with Sarah
Why did you start breeding?
I started breeding Border Collies after a long career in Nursing, and after a brain tumor. My BC Max was right by my side and extremely attentive. He demonstrated his abilities to steady me as I walked, and care for me (in his way) after surgery. My physicians agreed that this would be a great way for me to use my remaining talents to help others and myself; to focus on training and breeding Border Collies. This is our 10th year after the surgery and we have provided beautiful, sound, quality BC pups since!
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is small and focused. Puppies are welcome members of our family and our focus is on the health, happiness and appropriate placement in loving, capable homes of each dog. My personal focus is not just as a dog lover and trainer, but as a professional RN with the health of our dogs and puppies first in my mind.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle, black, red, sable, white and blue merle, and white and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
