I'm Julie D., the breeder behind Firefly Aussies & Aussiedoodles located in Columbia Falls, MT. Our pups are home-raised. We select our breeding dogs based on temperament, drive, shedding, and DNA makeup along with physical stature. This ensures that not only do we beautiful colors and eyes, but sweet, low to medium drive Aussies that want to please, are healthy and well built dogs.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    As a therapist, many of Julie’s client’s loved her first Aussie, Colt and connected with him, that she could see he was helping them regulate themselves through the connection. This inspired Julie to seek out her first puppies to purchase to start a breeding program for Aussies as pets and therapeutic partners.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Aussiedoodle puppies include toy, mini, and standard sizes. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Australian Shepherd puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Aussiedoodle puppies include brown merle, red, brown and white, blue merle, red merle, black phantom, black and white, black tri-color, red phantom, and red tri-color. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black tri, blue merle, red merle, and red tri. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Julie

Julie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Julie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $750 non-refundable deposit and between $1,750 - $3,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“We have a 1 yr health guarantee for any unusual genetic issues. This would be money back or a replacement puppy from a new litter. Deposits are not refundable but can be transferred to another available pup. Breeding rights are available for an additional fee. $750 down to reserve the puppy. If you change your mind, the deposit is non-refundable but is transferrable to another puppy of ours.”

Julie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
