Chris R.

Breeder of Goldendoodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Chris R., the breeder behind First Mountain Doodles located in Jasper, GA. At First Mountain Doodles we’re proud to produce puppies that will bring many years of joy and companionship to qualified families. Our pups are raised in home and exposed to everyday life, including other dogs, cats, children, noises, taught basic commands and beginning potty training. They’re handled regularly, exposed to grooming and ride in cars. We’re very proud to have placed dogs in homes where they have specialized jobs such as a service dog for a Wounded Warrior, an ESA for a very special autistic child and generally as companions and valued family members! We have great confidence in our training methods, socialization and exceptional personalities and temperaments in our babies and once you choose a First Mountain Doodle you will too!

Q. & A. with Chris

  • Why did you start breeding?

Ginger was my first Goldendoodle. I was looking for a Poodle and stumbled upon an ad for a puppy in a breed that I’d never heard of and called the breeder. After talking to the breeder, I researched the breed and decided I would like to add that pup to my family. I picked her up and never looked back. Ginger was more like a toddler than a dog and I was in love.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are chosen for their amazing health, temperament and personality, and I like unique! In my searches for doodles, I ran across so many breeders who wouldn’t talk to me because I like unique colors and was told over and over that color wasn’t important, temperament was. I see no reason not to have the whole picture, so my dogs are bred to provide many attributes, including turning heads!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, apricot, chocolate, black, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
