  • Why did you start breeding?

    It all started with my husband getting his labrador trained to retrieve the birds. This first dog being such a great dog, she eventually whelped a litter and had a lot of unexpected interest in her puppies. We later added another dog to our family and that is how the birth of Five Star Labradors came to be. Providing excellent 24/7 it starts with our dog moms with high quality food/homemade dog.

  • What makes your program special?

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Puppy prices include a $535 non-refundable deposit and $3,165 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
