I'm Amanda P., the breeder behind Flowertown Aussies located in Summerville, SC. Our dogs are bred with health and temperament as the main focus. We strive to provide prospective owners with healthy, well-socialized pets that will be perfect for their family. Each puppy is loved by our family of six from the day they are born until they leave our home to join yours.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We bought our first Australian Shepherd in 2022 and quickly fell in love. We became passionate about the breed and wanted to preserve it for generations to come. We wanted to be a small part of this preservation while giving families the opportunity to find the perfect Aussie for their family and lifestyle. We truly believe Australian Shepherds are the most wonderful dogs for families.

  • What makes your program special?

    At Flowertown Aussies, we put our dogs and puppies first. Our first priority is good health, which is why we genetically test our parent dogs. Puppies are seen by our vet for all newborn care. Next, we put socialization and training into each puppy. We are passionate about raising loving, well-socialized puppies for families. We believe in holding to the AKC standard for the breed to preserve it.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red & white, black & white, red merle, dilute red, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Amanda

Amanda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,700 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes AKC paperwork for registration, a copy of the Litter Certificate, a new owner puppy package, puppy's first round of vaccinations and deworming, socialization, and a small blanket. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is asked to reserve the puppy of your choosing. This will be applied to the total cost of the puppy. The remainder is due when picking your puppy up!”

Amanda may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Full Embark Panel, DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Amanda was (and still is) extremely responsive. I got my girl Rhaena (originally KitKat) from her a month ago, we reserved her a month before that, and Amanda made sure to send several updates throughout the week until we picked her up. Any time I text her with questions, she’s always quick to respond. If I were to get another Aussie, it would definitely be from her and I even recommend her to everyone I know.

    I LOVE this breeder and all she stands behind. Just Ace! — I got Dundee Pretzel Cookie at summer’s end and have been simply amazed ever since. Amanda truly loves her puppies beyond measure and takes pride in the breed. During the initial process we received texts, pictures, videos throughout Dundee’s puppy milestones which was exciting for us and our family. We couldn’t wait to have puppy snuggles! Now that he’s 7 months old (today!)- I have to say- WOW- this is an amazing breeder! Yes- he’s high energy. Yes- his tank seemingly never empties but nor does that of my 4 kids. He meshes in perfectly. He’s very social, very loving, he enjoys my kids and plays well with them. There’s no resource guarding, he’s aware that my younger kids need gentle play, he takes to training easily, he does herd (which we love!!! And makes us chuckle)…all this is because Amanda exposed her puppies to her own family- socializing with them while they were young and treating them as if the puppies were her own children. Simply put he is a very well mannered and intelligent pup. With all this said, we have watched and researched breeders for a couple years waiting for the right one to come along. I’m so glad we did cause y’all, Amanda is it!

    I had one of the best experiences with Amanda being the breeder I got my baby from! She always responded frequently and answered any questions I had. I could tell she genuinely loves all of her puppies and takes such good care of them. I would often get sent updates including photos and videos and they’d take updated individual photos of each puppy weekly. Amanda was super helpful throughout the whole process and I would definitely get another puppy from her in the future! So far I’ve had such a good experience with Kaito (aka Rolo) and he’s been doing so good with things like potty and crate training and gets along really well with my others dogs. I’m so excited for this next chapter with my new pup.

    Amanda was AMAZING. She constantly sent us updates for our girl Marlee. Whether it was her playing, meal time, bath time, or vet visits. Those always brightened up our days. She was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had as well. She gave us a bag of goodies we needed to bring her home including her paperwork, vaccine information, a toy, her scent blanket, some tools for potty training, and some puppy food. We LOVED watching her grow and learn her personality. we loved that she grew up around Amanda’s kids and they took the pups on stroller rides and got them adjusted to different noises and environments.
