Meet the breeder

I'm Cassie G., the breeder behind Flying Note Shorties located in Casper, WY. We raise AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis and AKC Cardigan Welsh Corgis, including both standard and fluffy coats. All breeding dogs are genetically health tested, and we are actively pursuing PennHIP certifications. Our dogs are family first, with a focus on health, temperament, quality, and raising well-socialized companions for their future families.

Q. & A. with Cassie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I love my dogs, and breeding corgis allows me to share that love with other families. One of my favorite parts is getting to know puppy families from the very beginning—seeing the collars they pick out, hearing the names they’ve chosen, and sharing in the excitement as they prepare to welcome their new puppy home. It’s a special bond that often lasts long after puppy pickup day.
  • What makes your program special?

My corgis are my family. I operate a largely kennel-free program on our Wyoming ranch, where my dogs have a large fenced area to run, play, and simply enjoy being dogs while remaining safe. When weather permits, we spend plenty of time exploring the ranch together. Because my dogs are part of our everyday lives, they receive constant human interaction and form strong bonds with people from an early age. My mama dogs trust me enough to allow handling of their puppies from day one, helping create confident, well-socialized companions for their future families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our American Corgi puppies include black and white and blue merle and white. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include red, sable, white and black, white and red, blue, and black and tan. Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies include blue merle and white and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Couldn’t recommend Cassie enough, great experience handled all my stress about the situations that came up. I feel like she a real friend to me after everything and Axel is beautiful and healthy and everyone who sees him falls in love. So happy after 2 bad experiences in my past with pure breed dogs being so unhealthy. She even dealt we my tramas from those past experiences. Not just axels dog breeder but counselor, consultant, and friend. Thanks so much
