I'm Michele T., the breeder behind Flying T Ranch located in Mount Ulla, NC. We strive to raise quality dogs to become treasured parts of the family. We pride ourselves on focusing on healthy dogs with wonderful temperaments. We want to do everything we can to ensure you have the best experience with your new puppy.

Why did you start breeding?
We started breeding English Mastiffs in 1991 after falling in love with our first fur baby. We bred Mastiffs for 7 years before starting with Boxers in 1998 and recently retired our final boxer female. With all of our horses and rodeo endeavors, Australian Shepherds became a big part of our lives in 2012 and we've thoroughly enjoyed adding them to our breeding program and family.What makes your program special?
We are a small breeding program with dogs that are a part of our family, focusing on their health and well-being; and raising pups in our home with daily attention from our children. We enjoy interacting with our puppy buyers and staying in contact with them to help with any questions they may have as their puppy grows. We offer health guarantees on all puppies that we sell.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Michele
Michele has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
"We ask for $400 deposit to purchase puppy with balance due when puppy leaves us. We have a reservation deposit of $150 to reserve a certain color/sex puppy from an upcoming litter. We ask for $150 deposit to place a reservation of a certain color and sex from an upcoming litter. This deposit is refundable if we don’t have the color/sex reserved in the litter. Once puppies are born if someone had a reservation deposit in, we ask for an additional $250 deposit making our total non-refundable deposit $400 to purchase a puppy, with balance due when puppy leaves us."

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Tulsa is an AKC registered Australian Shepherd with many champions and grand champions in her bloodlines. She has completed her NTD (novice trick dog), ITD (intermediate trick dog), ATD (advanced trick dog), and is working on completing her ETD (expert trick dog) titles. She loves to go hiking and play in the river. She is clear on the aussie panel and will be getting OFA testing done at age 2.

+5I am so beyond impressed with Flying T Ranch! What initially had them stand out to me was their genetic testing, their responsible breeding practices, and the fact that they screen/make people apply for a puppy rather than just letting anyone purchase them. Australian Shepherds are fabulous dogs, but they can definitely be the wrong fit for some homes. I appreciated that Flying T really cared about their puppies by choosing the right homes with the right lifestyles, having a thorough and responsible breeding contract, and checking in on their puppies. Once I put a deposit down, they gave me weekly updates (with adorable pictures!) of my puppy until he was ready to come home. When we went to pick him up, he already had his first round of shots and came with a puppy basket, with food, toys, a blanket with his mom's scent on it, and registration information. My puppy, that we affectionately named "Maverick", has been the BEST puppy! He is so crazy smart, beautiful, brave, and sweet. He was everything we were looking for in our next Australian Shepherd. We will definitely be back to Flying T for our next one!
