I'm Martha M., the breeder behind Foliage Labradors located in Hollis, NH. Foliage Labradors is a small, preservation-minded program in New Hampshire. We breed thoughtfully for health, temperament, structure, breed type and working ability. Our dogs are family first, with careful pedigree planning, show and field evaluation, and lifelong support for our puppy families.

Why did you start breeding?
What makes your program special?
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Where do your breeding dogs live?

Martha has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Martha partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.
“We match puppies with their families based on temperament, lifestyle, experience, goals, and the environment the puppy will be living in. At the beginning of the process, we ask families about their preferences and what they are hoping for in a dog, including sex, color, activity level, and future goals. As the puppies grow, we closely observe their temperament, confidence, energy level, resilience, sociability, and individual strengths. We also watch how prospective families interact with the puppies when they visit, which can give us additional insight into which puppy may be the best fit. Puppies are not selected solely by deposit order, appearance, sex, or color. Families who are flexible generally have more opportunities for a successful match. Final placements are made by us based on what we have learned about both the puppies and the families. Our goal is to make the strongest long-term match possible so that each puppy is placed in a home where they are most likely to thrive. We only breed a litter when we are hoping to keep something ourselves, so our first priority is evaluating the litter for the puppy or puppies that best fit our breeding program.”

“Placement is based on temperament, lifestyle, and the best fit for each family. The deposit is $500 and the remaining $4,500 is due at pick up. Deposits are applied to a specific litter. If we cannot offer a suitable puppy due to availability or matching, we will communicate with you and offer to transfer your deposit to a future litter.”
Martha may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Martha offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Martha directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.
You can drive or fly to pick up your puppy from Martha.

About Nikki
Nikki is our real-life Barbie and a total blonde in the very best way—but she’s definitely smarter than she lets on. She is sweet as could be, with the kindest, gentlest soul. Nikki always means well and wants nothing more than to be close to her people, snuggling, leaning in for affection, and soaking up every bit of love she can get.
