Meet the breeder

I'm Janet D., the breeder behind Folklore Australian Shepherds located in Manchester, NH. Our Australian Shepherd pups are home-raised. We put a lot of care into socializing them so they can transition easily into their new lives. We offer well-rounded, healthy, high-drive Australian Shepherd puppies who will excel in any adventure with their new family! Our dogs are intelligent, loving, and athletic, and they produce puppies who will thrive in an active lifestyle. We're passionate about these dogs and are careful to breed and raise our pups with only the best policies.

Q. & A. with Janet

  • Why did you start breeding?

I wanted to better the breed and find a stud that was clear in all genetics testing and have a great disposition and pedigree. We decided to go with a repeat breeding using the boy that fathered my litter in 2022. 3 weeks ago we had a beautiful litter of 6 Blue merles!
  • What makes your program special?

All my dogs are genetically and ofa tested. Mom has clear genetics except carries mdr1. Dad is also has clear genetics and ofa tested. Dad earned his Championship last year.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
