Why did you start breeding?
My journey into breeding began when I brought home Holly, our first long-haired miniature dachshund. I quickly fell in love with the breed’s gentle nature and loyalty. Wanting to explore breeding, I later added Lamington as a potential sire. From there, For the Love of Doxens was born—rooted in love, purpose, and a passion for raising well-socialized, healthy puppies.What makes your program special?
What makes For the Love of Doxens special is the heart behind every puppy. Our dogs are raised in our home as part of the family—never in kennels. We focus on early socialization, daily handling, and lots of love to ensure confident, well-adjusted puppies. Every decision is made with care, from pairing parents to preparing pups for their forever homes. This is more than breeding—it’s a calling.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Lamington is full of life and charm—he loves zooming around the yard, chasing his favorite ball, and soaking up every bit of attention. His playful, affectionate nature makes him a joy to be around. He’s AKC-registered with a striking black & cream long-haired coat and a strong, athletic build at around 11 lbs. Lamington passes on his confident, loving temperament to every litter.

Holly brings both beauty and heart to every litter she raises.

Leanne has been nothing short of incredible. From the moment we chose her as a breeder to bringing our puppy home, she has guided us through it all.
