  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into breeding began when I brought home Holly, our first long-haired miniature dachshund. I quickly fell in love with the breed’s gentle nature and loyalty. Wanting to explore breeding, I later added Lamington as a potential sire. From there, For the Love of Doxens was born—rooted in love, purpose, and a passion for raising well-socialized, healthy puppies.

  • What makes your program special?

    What makes For the Love of Doxens special is the heart behind every puppy. Our dogs are raised in our home as part of the family—never in kennels. We focus on early socialization, daily handling, and lots of love to ensure confident, well-adjusted puppies. Every decision is made with care, from pairing parents to preparing pups for their forever homes. This is more than breeding—it’s a calling.

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, red, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Leanne

Leanne has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.
