Meet the breeder

I'm Cyndi F., the breeder behind Ford Hollow Farms Shih Tzus and Australian Shepherds located in Decatur, TN. We believe in ethical breeding and quality versus quantity. Our pups live out their lives on our farm where they have access to fresh air, sunshine, and plenty of room to run and play. We strive to breed healthy, well-tempered dogs that adhere to breed standards.

Q. & A. with Cyndi

  • Why did you start breeding?

We have always loved both our Aussies and Shih Tzus, so it only made sense for us to choose these breeds when we decided to start this program. We work with other breeders to ensure that we have developed an ethical program where our dogs are bred to the standard of their breed. Our mentor has been in the breeding business for over 30 years and continues to share her knowledge with us today.
  • What makes your program special?

We breed ethically, resting our females for at least a year after each litter. Our dogs live in our homes and even travel with us on vacation! We feed high-quality food and treats, and all of our pups visit our vet for annual check-ups and required vaccinations. We breed for good temperament, health, and conformation to the standard.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Shih Tzu puppies include lilac, cream and white, chocolate, black, black gold and white, and brindle. Australian Shepherd puppies are red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Cyndi made the process extremely easy. From her quick response regarding if the puppy was still available, to sending pictures of the puppy and offered to FaceTime along with suppling me with her personal vet as a reference. Not many breeders have DNA testing done on their dog, but hers goes back 3 generations. No surprise the my puppy passed his vet’s examination. If I decide to get another Shih Tzu it will be another one of hers! Thank you Cyndi for allowing me to own one of your wonderful puppies.

Cyndi was such a pleasure to work with! She communicated every step of the way for us to bring home our newest addition. Zeus is a very happy and healthy puppy! You can tell he was raised with people as well as his mom. Hes not shy and loves snuggles! I have a crazy house with 3 teens and 3 other dog as well as cats! Zeus fits right in! I would recommend Cyndi to anyone looking for a puppy and if I ever decide to get a new baby, she'll be my 1st choice! Thank you Cyndi for raising happy healthy puppies!
