Why did you start breeding?
I have owned and loved dachshunds my entire life. Our family spent years looking for an exceptional female to become the foundation of our breeding program. That search led us to Daffodil ("Dilly") from Harbor Doxies. Combined with our experience raising Maremmas, Golden Retrievers, LaMancha dairy goats and poultry, we're committed to breeding healthy, well tempered animals & family companions.What makes your program special?
On our small regenerative family permaculture farm, every animal is intentionally planned and raised in a vibrant, healthy environment. We prioritize health, temperament, structure, and early enrichment above all else. Raised alongside children and farm life, our puppies develop into confident, well socialized companions. Beautiful creams and splashy, rare patterns are the finishing touch.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from Brittney
Brittney has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Brittney partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

About Dilly
Dilly (Harbor Doxies Daphne's Little Daffodil) is our beloved cream dapple longhaired miniature dachshund. She is affectionate, gentle, and deeply devoted to her family, with a particularly gentle, sweet temperament and playful spirit. Dilly is especially bonded to our daughter, Daphne, who has been her person since puppyhood and helps care for her every day. Raised as a cherished family companion on our small homestead, The Forest Farmstead in Washington State, Dilly enjoys exploring the farm, snuggling on the couch, and joining in family adventures. She has completed comprehensive health testing, including an Embark genetic screening and OFA patella evaluation. We selected Dilly not only for her beautiful cream dapple coat and longhaired elegance, but also for her loving nature, sound temperament, and the quality lines she came from via from Harbor Doxies. Our goal is to produce healthy, well-socialized puppies that inherit Dilly's sweet personality, intelligence, and affectionate disposition while being raised with the same love, care and socialization that she receives as a member of our family.

Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
