Potty trainig and transportation is eased if you have a crate. If you are planning on bringing your pup/ dog with you on a regular basis, I would recommend getting a high quality crate. We like the Ruff land kennels as they are durable and they have a divider that allows you to get the crate size that will fit your full grown pup. So you can buy a large crate, and then make it smaller for crate / potty training. If you put a puppy into a large crate it makes it harder to potty trained as they will be able to "escape" the mess. So a smaller area is better. I am not the biggest fan of the wire crates as it does not provide a den/ private area for them. Please do not "punish" your pup by putting them in the crate, the crate should be a safe spot for them.

So I have been getting questions about shots and worming. The puppies were wormed 3 times at 2, 4, and 6 weeks old. The puppies will be getting their 1st shots on Wednesday Feb 19th and will get a well puppy check up by our vet in Garner, IA Dr Bruce Schupanitz. Then he will microchip them all when he is done. You will get the microchip and health info in the home coming puppy package.

About Everest
Everest is a great friend! She has never met a stranger, she does not bark, she is very clean in the kennel and our home. She is a true whole hearted retriever. She yearns to please and has great natural hunting instincts. She was tested by Embark and is clear of all hereditary diseases. Good eyes, normal elbows, and she has Excellent hips. This last summer she passed 4 AKC hunt tests to get her Junior hunter title and she has retrieved all of our ducks so far this hunting season.

Justin breeds some wonderful pups! We got our dog Junie about a month ago, and she’s shaping up to be a very smart, obedient, well-tempered, and very loving little girl. Working with Justin was a breeze; he was always quick to respond to messages, and gave detailed reports of how the pups were doing. You can tell his puppies come from a good home. Justin is also very accommodating; he was always willing to hop on a phone call if needed and was also kind enough to drive half way to meet us on adoption day. We couldn’t be happier with our experience!

From start to finish everything was a breeze. Justin was awesome to work with. He was quick to answer questions and posted plenty of updates on the puppies so you literally could watch your puppy grow. It also was a huge benefit that the puppies are raised with kids and other dogs. Our puppy is amazing, smart, well behaved, great with our other dogs and potty training has been a breeze. I can’t wait to get her hunting.

My husband and I are very fortunate to have found Justin’s profile through GoodDog! From the moment we saw photos of the litter on his profile, we knew exactly what pup we wanted. Being first time dog owner, my husband and I wanted to make sure we found a breeder that is trustworthy and caring, and Justin is exactly that! His profile had all the information we were looking for in a breeder, and the payment process was super easy and convenient. We loved receiving frequent updates about the littler and our pup, and the overall ease of the GoodDog app. We are absolutely in love with our new puppy, she is perfect! Can’t thank Justin and his family enough for everything!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Justin to find the perfect puppy, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the start, Justin was incredibly responsive, answering all my questions quickly and thoroughly. His knowledge about the breed and his genuine love for the pups truly stood out.
One of the things I appreciated most was how he kept me updated with frequent pictures and videos, making the whole process exciting and reassuring. It was clear that he takes great care of his puppies, ensuring they are well-socialized and healthy before going to their new homes.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
