I'm Bethany C., the breeder behind Fountain Creek Goldens located in Hoopeston, IL. We are a small show kennel in Illinois. Our goal is to produce healthy, conformationally correct dogs that fit the breed standard. Our puppies are bred for temperament, health, and structure. All our dogs are shown in UKC, and are OFS ajd Embark DNA tested. We also sometimes participate in obedience, service work, agility, dock diving etc . Puppies are raised in home with Puppy Culture. All of my dogs are loved pets 1st show dogs 2nd!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    What brought me into breeding? Well, I'll tell you! When I first got out on my own I wanted a dog. I tried to adopt but kept getting denied for various reasons. I got my first golden from a reputable breeder and instantly wanted to share my love for the breed! I researched ethical breeding and realized that ethical breeding is necessary for the continuation of breeds we all know and love!

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs are all very special to me! I feel what makes my program special is that I breed according to the breed standard. A lot of golden breeders breed put of standard dogs and coat color with no regard to health or structure. I pride myself on breeding for the betterment of the breed by selecting the best pairings to better the structure, health, and, temperament of the puppies I produce.

Getting a puppy from Bethany

Bethany has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Bethany partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“We wait to allow families to pick their puppies until atleast 6 to 7 weeks of age. We do this so that we can evaluate each puppies temperament and personality to help families decide which puppy best fits their family and lifestyle.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $500 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes, a 2 year genetic health guarantee, all shots and deworming up to 8 weeks, AKC limited papers, microchip, flea treatment, heartguard, puppy starter kit, and a small bag of food. All puppies are the same price regardless of gender or color The deposit is included in the final price and is not an added fee The deposit is refundable if something happens on my end sick pup etc.”

Contract & health guarantee

Bethany may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
