Meet the breeder
I'm Jessica D., the breeder behind FR Labs located in Britton, SD. We breed Labs & ECS for families, hunting, and competition. We only breed health-tested dogs from proven pedigrees that better the breed. We focus our breeding program on 1-3 high-quality litters per year. Our dogs are proven in the field and in competition. We strive for healthy, well-rounded dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
After college, we purchased our first Lab from health-tested, top field trial lines. We knew we had something special with that dog so we got her health tested, put titles on her, and found some great studs to match with her. From there, our program grew and we are now on our 4th generation from that original female.What makes your program special?
Our dogs are bred to produce healthy, sound, and versatile pups. Our ultimate goal is to produce athletic and well-structured canines that can excel within various performance venues and have the ability to be the greatest family companions. We can provide extensive knowledge and guidance for any family looking to bring home one of these wonderful dogs. We love what we do and truly want the very best for my puppies and their forever families.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our English Cocker Spaniel puppies include black and white, black, blue roan, golden, lemon roan, orange roan, red, and red roan. Labrador Retriever puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Jessica has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Jessica partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape.
"We let the buyers select their puppy but we will provide our input as to what puppy we think will best match your wants and needs."
Price
"Our price is based on the pedigree and the titles of both parents. This includes a health contract, AKC and UKC registration, a registered microchip, bird introduction, up-to-date vaccinations & dewclaw removal. If we are not able to provide you the color and sex of the puppy that you want, we will refund the deposit or the deposit can be transferred to a future litter."

Jessica may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Adult Onset Neuropathy (AON), Optimal Selection Genetic Disease Analysis (180+ Diseases), Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS), Familial Nephropathy, Cocker Spaniel Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Phosphofructokinase Deficiency (PFK)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
