  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into breeding began after losing my 8-year-old Doberman to DCM (Canine Dilated Cardiomyopathy). The experience was heartbreaking, but our new puppy brought so much joy and demonstrated such remarkable traits that I felt inspired. I realized I could make a difference by continuing to breed healthy, well-rounded dogs.

  • What makes your program special?

    At Franklin Dobermans, we focus on both physical health and sound temperament. Our dogs are known for their obedience, balanced personalities, and overall health. We also prioritize building long-term relationships with our puppy families—each new owner receives lifetime support from us. There's nothing more rewarding than staying in touch and watching our puppies grow in their new homes.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are black and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $800 non-refundable deposit and between $2,200 - $2,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III), Full Embark Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
