  • Why did you start breeding?

    Krys Rackley, founder of Freedom Ranch Labradors, turned a lifelong passion for dogs into a mission to improve and preserve the Labrador breed. Labs have always been her favorite, and her goal as a breeder is to produce healthy, intelligent, and well-structured Labradors that represent the best of the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

    Our program is special because we breed only fully health-tested, titled, and trained Labradors, ensuring top quality in every dog. We focus on exceptional temperament, sound structure, and intelligence, combining expert training with careful breeding to produce versatile Labradors ideal for families, service work, and sport. Excellence and care guide everything we do.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $4,000 - $9,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Freedom Ranch Labs reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Labrador Retrievers.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
