Meet the breeder

I'm Candy R., the breeder behind FRUFFLES SHIH TZUS located in Centralia, WA. Our dogs are bred with loving care focusing on health, temperament and socialization. All of our dogs have excellent AKC show lines in all pedigrees. Our dogs live in our home as family members. Great care is taken providing healthy, happy puppies with excellent temperaments towards AKC Standards.

Q. & A. with Candy

  • Why did you start breeding?

Running our first Golden Retriever in the Hunt Tests and acquiring his Master Hunt title, we became absolutely hooked! This started our life of dogs. There has never been a time when we haven’t had dogs in our life since then. We have been fortunate to also have had Weimaraners and English Setters in our life! Shih Tzus are the latest breed which we love as we have loved each of our breeds.
  • What makes your program special?

I think our breeding program is very special due to the loving environment they live in where Extra Special Care is taken to produce the healthiest, structurally sound puppies with the best temperaments as we possibly can. We work hard to socialize them so they are a joyful addition to each Family they are placed!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include gold and white, black and white, and red and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
