I'm Yolanda B., the breeder behind Gabilan Hills located in Salinas, CA. My dogs are part of my family! I do my best to breed healthy, beautiful, furry family members with great temperaments. I initially started breeding Labs for service work, but because not all can be service dogs, I also wanted them to be well-rounded, healthy, and able to do everything Labs love to do. I work many hours every day on making their temperament the best I can. It would be my pleasure to introduce you to your next Labrador Retriever companion.
Q. & A. with Yolanda
Why did you start breeding?
I have had Labs all my life, and I started breeding about 15 years ago. I wanted to train dogs as service animals for disabled individuals and as pets to help the elderly. The puppies that don't go on to become service dogs get to join families and individuals as beloved companions.
What makes your program special?
I spent most of my day with my dogs and puppies daily..I do not breed my dogs unless they are fully healthy and genetically tested. I am dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, socializing, and training my pups. Temperament and health are my top priorities. I love what I do and truly want the very best for my puppies and their forever families.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
