Why did you start breeding?
I once inherited an adult Dachshund and fell in love with his personality. In trying to understand more about his health and what made him well, I dove into research relevant to dachshund genetics, health, etc. Later on, I decided I wanted to contribute to the breed as well and began breeding myself, with a specific vision of what I wanted my program to look like in the end.What makes your program special?
Our Dachshunds are bred inside the home with family around. They are exposed to other adult dogs and children of all ages. They are frequently handled by the adults and kids. We often take them on car rides and expose them to different strangers, from a distance, of course. This is a home filled with love.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

“This price includes AKC registration, limited pet, first round of vaccinations, deworming and microchip. Our puppies are not priced based on color or gender but on conformation at 6 weeks of age. Puppies may go home with full registration, but this must first be discussed.”

Winnie is incredibly sweet and calm. She loves to cuddle, rest and loves to play with other dogs. She does not like playing with toys or chewing things up. She truly is a sweet baby girl.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Dentition, Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
