I'm Shannen V., the breeder behind GemiLamb Gun Dogs located in Athens, PA. My mission is to produce healthy, happy, well-rounded dogs that will shine in the field or show ring, as well as be loving family members without jeopardizing the integrity of the breed.
Q. & A. with Shannen
Why did you start breeding?
I started out with rescue dogs, and seeing the quality of poorly bred dogs and the huge split in show vs field broke my heart. I wanted to help better the breeds that I love, and that has become my mission through breeding.
What makes your program special?
My belief is that health, conformation, drive, and temperament should never have to be jeopardized and that breeds should stay true to standards no matter if they're intended to be shown, hunted, or an active family member. Quality will always be more important than quantity. I also value the input of passionate mentors to help guide me.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Quinn
Quinn is a happy & living girl, with a sweet temperament and great drive. She started off just being our hunting companion for upland & waterfowl, which led to getting her JH title, & then her CH title (all owner handled). She is the type of girl I can allow strange children to come up & pet, yet she's smart enough to judge situations & week be protective if needed.
