I'm Angela B., the breeder behind Gemstone Exclusive Pups of Florida located in Apollo Beach, FL. Life-long dog lover and Mal-Shi enthusiast. My love for animals is beyond measure. Not only a breeder but a specialist & trainer. I became a breeder to provide healthy companions for all families to enjoy. I have a rare Liver colored, Hazel-eyed Mal-shi and a rare colored Bluish-gray and White Mal-Shi. I've had both parents since they were puppies and are breeding the mother for the first time at the age of 3 years old.

Why did you start breeding?
My father was a top-breeder of Dobermans, and I share his passion to breed in a loving environment. I strive to uphold the highest standards of care and ethics. Growing up, our dogs were our family members and breeding was for building community and less about income. As long as you keep this in perspective you can raise strong, healthy, socialized and nurtured pups.What makes your program special?
I only breed mature dogs that live in the home with me full-time. I am not a fan of breeding kennel or co-owned dogs because you cannot truly gauge the dog's temperament without having an intimate relationship with both parents. Our pups are exclusive as breeding practices are lengthy and depending on recovery, it may be years before they are bred again.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle and white, brindle, brown, white and lemon, white, white and tan, black gold and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Litter update on 15 June •…..and then there was one! Onyx the Ewok Malshi was the only male of Diamond and Jewel's litter and the last to soon find his forever home. For the time being, we've integrated him into the main living spaces with his parents and I couldn't be any more pleased with how well he has adapted. I hardly had to lift a finger. He is fully potty trained and understands commands superbly. This has allowed me to put to test how well he and his littermates have been trained. He's such a good boy with an amazing temperament. Good training in the early stages leads to healthy well-rounded dogs for a lifetime to come! He is having a blast keeping mom and dad busy with his youthful energy. So, we'll continue to keep the bonding going until you are ready to bring him home 😉 Puppy love is everything! 🐶❤️

Litter update on 13 June •…Just sitting here reminiscing on fun times with the pups and figured I'd post these captured moments from weeks past. We dubbed this, "The Tunnel of Mayhem" and was definitely a pup fav! At one point, we had two tunnels winding through their living quaters. The babes would spend hours napping, wrestling, zooming, and battling over toys in the tunnel. It was part of their Agility and Coordination training, but so much doggone fun they couldn't tell the difference. 🤷♀️😆❤️

Litter update on 30 May •…Photo shoot with Jade today just incase you were wondering how stunningly beautiful she is. 😍 Rare color Malshi, petite pup with little button nose and tiny features. Stellar temperament and fully potty trained. I took a dozen pics because she's just so stinking gorgeous at any angle. 🥰

Litter update on 17 May •…Vet Day!! They were so pooped they couldn't make it to their beds lol. They got physicals, shots, deworming, heart guard, etc, and it wore them out! They made me so proud! So well behaved and countless compliments on their temperament, how bright white and well-groomed their coats are and even the vet referred to them as, " stunning", and it sorta made me emotional. I have poured myself into these little babies, and it's moments like these that remind every breeder that all of our time, energy, feeding, constant cleaning, training, nurturing, and lack of sleep is worth it when you know that you are honestly raising beautiful, healthy dogs. ❤️

Litter update on 26 Apr. •…Potty training success! Started out with pee-pads at the top of week 3 and have transitioned to crate indoor/outdoor designated faux grass areas as shown in the video. Notice how they all briefly stop ✋️ and then proceed after they relieve themselves. ☺️

About Jewels
Jewels is a rare liver-colored F1 Mal-Shi and the sweetest member of our family. His loyalty to his family is unmatched and he has been a breeze to train. He is playful, energetic and absolutely LOVES all types of toys, walks and playtime at the park. He is super affectionate and his temperament is brave, yet very friendly. Such a beautiful dog..he has a unique appearance which lends to his big personality. We joke that next to my husband..is our "little man dog" of the house.

About Diamond
Diamond is a gorgeous rare bluish gray F1 Mal-Shi with super long eyelashes. She is the star of our home as she has such an authentic personality and possibly the most laid-back dog I have ever owned. The perfect Shih Tzu/Maltese mix. She's not a yapper and she loves unique activities, such as massages and being serenaded with songs. She also loves belly rubs, fetch, kisses and non-stop affection. She is very intelligent and picks up on many social cues without prompting. Everyone of all ages and walks of life, fall in love with her loveable personality. She is truly my baby girl.

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
