Meet the breeder

I'm Sara E., the breeder behind Glamorous Doxies located in St Johns, AZ. We are a small, family-run (kids included) breeding program focusing on quality care and good health. Please understand it takes a lot to raise these little fur babies and find them the right homes!

Q. & A. with Sara

  • Why did you start breeding?

Breeding has been a lifelong dream of mine since I was a kid. Miniature Dachshunds specifically were my area of interest & desire. I did as much research on my own as possible & got connected with a breeder willing to teach me a few things.
  • What makes your program special?

We give extra special attention to each individual new puppy. They have 6 family members rotating attention, teaching & stimulating different senses. We make sure each puppy gets accustomed to car rides, multiple different sounds, & different floor surfaces. Once they are reserved & have a name picked we use that so they can recognize it. We also send them home w/a goodie bag & first shots!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, chocolate and tan, blue and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Working with Glamorous Doxies was such a wonderful experience! From the very beginning, she was kind, helpful, and truly cared about finding the right match for me. Thanks to her, I brought home the sweetest puppy, and I honestly couldn’t be more in love. He’s has brought so much joy and love into my life! I’m so grateful for her guidance through out the process—it was smooth, thorough, and made me feel confident every step of the way. Odie is now a little over one year old and I can say has the best temperament there is! I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for their new best friend. 🐾💛

Best experience ever—Sara is the real deal! Meet Beau! 🐶 We are completely obsessed with our new puppy from Sara! He’s honestly the sweetest little guy. He came home pretty much already potty trained (only took 3 days!), super cuddly, and just full of love. He follows me everywhere and gets a little dramatic if he can’t see me for two seconds—it’s adorable. Our older dog has already started playing with him so gently and it’s been the cutest thing to watch. We had a bunch of friends over to meet him and he was just the happiest little guy, soaking up all the attention. He has a wonderful disposition. You can clearly tell Sara is a responsible breeder who puts so much care into her puppies from day one. All the love and early work Sara put in made Beau’s transition home super easy—he’s happy and just the best little guy. She even reached out after pick up to see how our new baby was adjusting and offered additional tips and insight. We’re so grateful we found her and would 1000% recommend her to anyone looking for a happy, healthy pup raised the right way. Thank you so much, Sara!

Getting a puppy from Sara was amazing! She answered all of our questions and sent weekly updates and pictures as he grew and even asked if we had a name so they could start calling him it. Now that we have Rowdy home he’s so smart and well minded, we absolutely love him! Thank you to Sara and your family for our sweet little guy ❤️

We initially purchased one puppy from Sara but later acquired a second. That was a great decision because they make such great companions, not only to each other, but to our 30 lb. Poodle and us of course. We want to emphasize that Sara is a fantastic breeder. These puppies we fully ready to go to their new home without any fuss or disruption. I know that Sara has a "team" to prepare their puppies for adoption and it showed. They are beautiful, smart and oh-so-cute puppies. We would definitely recommend her as a preferred breeder.
