Meet the breeder

I'm Rose S., the breeder behind Glendarra Scottish Terriers located in Vine Grove, KY. Our dogs are bred with an emphasis on conformation, health, temperament, and longevity. They are CHIC registered (genetic tested) and live with us in our home. They are AKC champions and participate in conformation, rally, scent work, etc. Puppies are raised using Puppy Culture. We look forward to connecting with you!

Q. & A. with Rose

  • Why did you start breeding?

We fell in love with Scotties and found a great breeder who was willing to let us have a beautiful show girl. She was my first Champion. We have built on that for 20 years and have many, many champions now. Breeding for the betterment of the breed is a joy. Each new litter is a gift and one we do not take for granted. Now, we are focusing on the longevity of the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

Glendarra Scottish Terriers is committed to only breeding dogs that meet the strict guidelines for quality that we have deemed appropriate to improving this wonderful breed. We highly value longevity and health testing in our puppy parents so that we can help ensure the future of the breed. We work with passion, heart, and integrity, and we truly want what's best for the Scottish Terrier line.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
