I'm Sharen H., the breeder behind Glenelg Collies located in Nine Mile Falls, WA. We are purebred conservation breeders of rough and smooth Collies. We breed to the American Collie breed standard, never compromising on health, temperament, or structure. As most of our puppies go to family pet homes, we make every effort to breed excellent companion dogs who bring joy into the lives of their respective families. Many of our puppies will also grow up to do quite well in the areas of agility, herding, obedience, rally, therapy, and tracking.

Focusing on therapy dogs and temperament, LilyRose exhibits all of the qualities necessary for a good family or therapy/service dog. She is confident, friendly, and resilient. She loves strangers and is especially drawn to young people. That temperament has transferred to and shows up in her puppies.

von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III), Shetland Sheepdog Type, Dermatomyositis, PRA, Rod-Cone Dysplasia 2 (rcd2), Wisdom Panel, Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Generalized, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
