Why did you start breeding?
When we were first married, my husband, Brad, and I had a dream of someday breeding Goldens. That dream became a reality 7 years ago when we bred our first mama dog, Millie, and she gave birth to a litter 10 puppies! It was quite a BIG start! Millie is now retired, but we have continued our love of breeding Goldens, and we are excited to have puppies with our new mamas, Penny and Daisy.What makes your program special?
At Glenhaven Goldens, we only have ONE litter at a time. That way, we can spend HOURS caring for your puppy and working on socialization: holding, petting, exposing them to textures, such as carpet, grass, stairs, etc., and introducing them to multpiple sounds. Our "socialization team" helps your pup adjust to various types of people. We also start potty training outdoors and using pans indoors.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden and golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Laura
Laura has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Laura partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“We take great care in helping each puppy be placed in the right family. Families are able to pick out their puppy (in order of deposits received) around 6 weeks old, with input from my husband and me to help you choose the best puppy possible for your situation. ”
Price
“Price includes first vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, and puppy home packet including first heartworm pill. Litter will be AKC registered and registration information will be made available. A video call on the Good Dog app/Facetime, signed adoption agreement, and deposit are required to reserve a puppy. Puppies will be chosen at six weeks by their families in order of deposits received.”

Litter update on 08 July •…Darling Miss Green Golden Retriever puppy is available at a reduced price! Miss Green is a 9 week-old female purebred AKC golden retriever puppy, born on 5/6/2026. We are selling her for $1,500 ($500 off our regular price of $2,000!) as her right eye has a mild form of entropion (lower eyelid turns in slightly and eyelashes rub on eye), which can be easily repaired with a “tacking” procedure. (Breeder can help buyer find nearby vet locations that do this minor procedure.) Once repaired, the healed eye will look completely normal and her vision will in no way be affected. It is simply a bit of a “cosmetic” procedure to prevent any long-term eye damage. Miss Green has been the top dog in our litter for intelligence, energy, and personality. She is simply so much fun! She loves to romp and play and have her tummy rubbed! And of course, she loves playing with her brothers and sisters, her mama, and other dogs. She is an all-round classic Golden! Miss Green has been exposed to a variety of animals, including cats and chickens, and a variety of sounds and textures. She can go also up and down stairs. Miss Green’s parents are registered AKC purebred Golden Retrievers. The sire, Oliver, is a medium dark golden color and has OFA clearances for eyes, heart, hips, and elbows. The dam, Penny, lives with us, and she is a dark red golden color and has OFA clearances for eyes and heart. She will be completing her hips and elbows this fall. (Penny’s parents, grandparents, and full sister all have OFA clearances on their hips and elbows.) miss Green also has had her first set of vaccines, dewormer, heartworm medication, and is microchipped. Miss Green is a fantastic little Puppy (and a great deal!) for someone who’s willing to give just a bit of extra TLC for her right eye repair. At Glenhaven Goldens, we only raise one litter at a time and our focus is spending much time both in and outdoors with our puppies and providing them with much love and care, so that you can have the best dog possible. We have spent much time loving on and caring for Miss Green, and we know she will be a great dog for her new family!

About Daisy
Daisy is the most LOVEABLE dark red Golden Retriever you would ever want to meet! Everyone who meets her adores her! She is sweet, cuddly, and so good with kids and adults alike. Daisy does the adorable Golden things like wagging her tail ferociously, bringing "gifts", wanting tummy rubs, and thinking she is a lap dog! She is a sweetheart!

Penny is a sweet, cuddly dark red Golden Retriever who embodies many of the endearing Golden traits, such as bringing "gifts" and loving tummy rubs. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
