I'm Arica G., the breeder behind Gogol Family Shih Tzus located in Oregon, OH. We’re so excited to be able to help families experience the longtime loyalty of welcoming a new puppy into their lives! We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our puppies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We started breeding because so many of our friends and family had voiced a desire to have a Shih Tzu of their own after meeting our dogs, but were taken back by the $2,000 to $4000 price range that most sell for. It’s been such a fun experience raising Puppies with my children, and seeing the joy and wonder on their faces over the years.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our program is special because the dogs and their puppies are our pets and they are kept in our home and loved and cared for. We nurture, love and teach them daily. Because the breeding pair are our pets, we typically only have one litter every 1-1.5 years. This allows my dogs to enjoy being pets. And it makes the experience, when we do have Puppies, that much more memorable and fun for our family.

Getting a puppy from Arica

Arica has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Arica partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $600 - $800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes a fully vetted puppy with their first immunization and deworming, as well as a copy of vet records, a blanket for the puppy to take home for easier transition, toys, and a sample of Purina pro plan Puppy food. Our puppies also come with a purebred certification. *This is not an AKC certification. The deposit is due at 3 weeks of age to ensure seriousness of the inquiry and to secure certain puppies that are specifically chosen by their perspective families.”

Contract & health guarantee

Arica may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     We have one of Arica’s puppies & we are so happy with her! This is our first Shih Tzu breed. From the very beginning.. contacting Arica was such a pleasure. She was so friendly & very knowledgeable about this breed. My Family & I went to visit her. We wanted to see the puppies in person & we are so happy we did this. We had fun interacting with them. The love they all showed toward these dogs/puppies was so amazing. My Husband asked a lot of questions & was also impressed with the answers/knowledge. We were in love with Gypsy the moment we saw her. Arica gave us updates on Gypsy along with some pictures until it was time to pick her up. We were so excited & It went great. We still keep in touch and we would definitely recommend Arica to anyone! This is an Amazing Breed!
