Meet the breeder

I'm Anne C., the breeder behind Gold Ring Australian Shepherds located in Hammond, LA. I breed sound Aussies in mind and body for versatility purposes. I breed to the standard and don't cut corners in the process. All Gold Ring Aussie puppies are handled and loved from the minute they are born. They have socialized the human and non-human members of our family before going to their new homes.

Q. & A. with Anne

  • Why did you start breeding?

I absolutely loved my first Aussie and l did a lot of research on the breed before I bred my 1st female at 5 years old. I bred to top dogs in the country as my female had come from Champion, genetically-tested lines. The rest is history.
  • What makes your program special?

I bred for versatility. I breed for sweet temperaments and outgoing personalities with great pedigrees to back them up. I also try to start training the puppies in basic obedience commands before they leave our home.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
