Meet the breeder

I'm Marilyn K., the breeder behind Gold Star Canines located in Dundee, OH. Having a dog in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same companionship to other homes! Our hope is to prepare each of our puppies with thoughtful socialization so they have the best foundation to seamlessly transition into their new homes.

Q. & A. with Marilyn

  • Why did you start breeding?

We were gifted a 3 month old Doberman girl and we fell in love with the breed and wanted to pass on that same joy to other families. We have been improving our genetics over the years as we learn more about the breed, we continue to learn and grow as breeders.
  • What makes your program special?

We raise our Dobermans to be family oriented and family pets. The puppies are socialized and play with our grand babies to help them become comfortable in homes with little people.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and rust and red and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in a kennel on my property.
