I'm Brie K., the breeder behind Golden Light Puppies located in Eagle Creek, OR. My passion here at Golden Light Puppies is to raise ​beautiful Doodle & Golden Retriever puppies who will make wonderful gentle family pets and intelligent loyal service dogs. Each puppy is lovingly raised as part of my family using the Puppy Culture program until it joins yours!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I shadowed a experienced breeder for several years before beginning Golden Light. To this day I am constantly furthering my education in dog husbandry & health. I have completed AKC Breeder courses, Puppy Culture & Avidog. I work closely with my team of vets at Mt. Hood Pet Med & Newberg who oversee the health of each puppy. My dogs are my top priority & I strive to give them the best of the best.

  • What makes your program special?

    My biggest priority when bringing pups into this world is that they will live long healthy lives. To do this I complete extremely thorough health testing before any dog is bred. This always includes full genetic testing, OFA hips, elbows, patella’s, cardiac, eyes & dentition. The socialization programs I use Puppy Culture & Avidog were carefully developed to give pups the very best start in life.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Bernedoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Golden Retriever puppies are golden. Bernedoodle puppies include black and white and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Brie

Brie has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $500 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Birth certificate, Vet Exam/Certificate of Health, Vaccinations, Microchip with prepaid registration, fecal test, Probiotics, Pumpkin, Food Starter Bag, Blanket with sibling & Mom's scent, collar. Deposits are non-refundable unless the puppy is diagnosed with a health issue. Deposit goes towards the total price of the puppy."

Brie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Dentition

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Full Embark Panel, von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
