Alexis was great to deal with. We had a very long phone conversation so that I knew that her puppies were very thoughtfully bred, with health the number one priority. Otto(cheddar) is almost a year old now and is healthy, smart, very curious and confident. He is bringing us so much joy!

Fantastic experience, our long hated bot is so well adjusted, he slept almost the entire night kin his crate the first three nights. I can recommend Golden Moose Homestead to anyone looking for a great Dachshund.

I rec'd puppy Stetson at 9 weeks. Alexis made everything run smoothly and was so communicative with his every milestone and with darling photos. He is a happy, healthy 6 month joy full of personality. He loves everyone and they sure comment on his beautiful coat and happy demeanor. She did a great job getting him on a good track and I would definitely go through her again.

I had an amazing experience with Alexis and Golden Moose Homestead. From the very beginning, Alexis was incredibly responsive, patient, and transparent. She answered every question I had (and I had a lot!) and always made me feel supported throughout the process. It was obvious how much she loves and cares for her dogs. My pup came home confident, curious, affectionate, and well-socialized. She adjusted to her new home much better than I expected, and even at her first veterinary visit, the staff commented on how calm, friendly, and confident she was. They absolutely adored her! Alexis also provided an incredibly thorough puppy binder with detailed care instructions, training tips, health records, and ongoing support, which made bringing home my first dachshund so much less overwhelming. Even after pickup, she has continued to answer questions and check in, which I really appreciate. I couldn’t be happier with her and would absolutely recommend Alexis to anyone looking for a healthy, well-raised, and loved miniature dachshund. Thank you for giving me my best friend!

I cannot recommend Alexis highly enough. From my first conversation with her to bringing Ollie home (and honestly even now) she has gone above and beyond in every way. She is incredibly knowledgeable and responsive, but what stood out to me most was how much she genuinely cares about her dogs and the families they go to. As a first-time puppy owner, I had a lot of questions, and Alexis was always patient, helpful, and generous with her time and guidance. She made the entire process feel exciting rather than overwhelming. I never felt like I was just getting a puppy from her; I felt like she was truly invested in making sure Ollie and I were the right fit for each other and that we would be successful together. Ollie came home healthy, confident, well-socialized, and clearly very loved. It was obvious from day one how much time, care, and thought Alexis puts into raising her puppies. The foundation from day 1 that she gave him has made such a difference in the puppy he is today. What has impressed me most, though, is that her support did not end when I picked him up. She still answers questions, celebrates milestones, and is always willing to help when I need advice. That level of support and dedication is rare, and it says so much about the kind of breeder she is. Getting my Ollie has been one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I am incredibly grateful to Alexis for helping make that possible. If I were looking for another dachshund in the future, I would not hesitate to go back!
