I'm Courtney H., the breeder behind Golden Wise located in Lancaster, SC. Our Goldens are excellent representations of their breed, and we are proud to offer our high-quality puppies to loving homes. We breed with a focus on health and temperament, and we have years of experience in preparing puppies for their forever homes. We spend lots of time socializing and training our pups so they will have a great foundation of good behavior and neurological development. We pride ourselves in updating all of our puppy families along the way, so they feel they are part of the puppy raising process. They see step by step and day by day of their puppies life until they come home.

Why did you start breeding?
I have been training dogs for over 14 years, and see firsthand the struggles families have with their puppies and dogs. We had previously rescued all of our dogs, until we bought our first golden from a local breeder. He was the best puppy, and I decided to mentor under his breeder. Along the way in our journey we have truly fallen in love with the breed and want to breed to not only preserve our breed, but to also provide families with well bred, healthy, biddable, adaptable, confident, stable, versatile Goldens they can enjoy for years to come. We truly believe the first 8 weeks of a puppies life is a major part of the foundation for a lifetime of success for them. We work tirelessly day in and day out to bring out the best in our puppies, until our puppies head to their forever home. Even after they go home, we are committed to being there to help with bumps, milestones, successes and everything in between throughout the puppies life.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
Getting a puppy from Courtney
Courtney has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

"Purchase price includes: - AKC Certificate and registration fees (limited only - no breeding rights) - Microchipping & microchip registration, age appropriate vaccines (We follow the AviDog Nomograph protocol so puppies will be vaccinated according to moms immunity), De-worming every two weeks from birth, Vet check (hearts, eyes, ears, general condition) 26 month genetic health warranty - 24/7 support for emergencies; you will get our cell phone numbers and we really mean it when we say you can call at anytime. A puppy contract will be signed by both parties. . A $100 non refundable deposit is required to be added to our wait list. The $100 is applied towards the deposit of $500 once puppies are born. We will take the deposit after puppies after a week old. We do not reserve puppies in the order deposits are received. Meaning if you pay first, that does not mean you get first pick. We pride ourselves in matching our puppies with the perfect family. We spend countless hours with the puppies day in and day out until they go home. We know these puppies better than anyone coming to visit will know them in an hour. We allow our puppy families to come visit between 6 & 7 week to spend time with them and give us your top 2 of 3 choices in the litter. Around 7 weeks myself, and another dog trainer will consult a lengthy temperament test and the puppies will be categorized. From there we will be able to best match the puppy to your families needs. We want you to be part of the picking process, but we do give our input for the final decision to ensure the puppies have found their best match."

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
