Goldendoodles on the Hill

Matthew J.

Breeder of Goldendoodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Matthew J., the breeder behind Goldendoodles on the Hill located in Toccoa, GA. Our Doodles range in size from medium to standard along with some of the most unique color patterns you’re likely to find. Our Doods are only bred with studs who have gone through DNA and health exams to make sure all of our puppies come out in tip top shape.

Q. & A. with Matthew

  • Why did you start breeding?

We start breeding puppies with an initial three litters of AKC Boxers in the early 00s. Moving into 2014, we adopted our first AKC Poodle, Ella Mae, with her having had her first litter of Goldendoodle puppies in 2016. Since then, we've continued to grow in size, averaging about 2-3 litters per year.
  • What makes your program special?

With only having 2-3 litters of Goldendoodle puppies per year we're able to dedicate more time to each individual puppy than what a larger breeder might. We've given unique names to every single boy and girl over the years... whereas others may only list them by a color/number. Each puppy is deeply loved and having them leave makes us tear up because they're our little furry family members :)
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include apricot, chocolate, black, phantom, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
