I'm Lakeisha D., the breeder behind Good Karma Aussies located in Charlotte, NC. We decided to start breeding to share the best possible puppies with excellent personalities, temperament, and most of all health! Our love for our dogs pushed us to begin breeding. We love to see the results of our efforts in the happy, and healthy puppies that we’re able to share with others.

  • What makes your program special?

    I have 15+ years in emergency veterinary medicine, giving me hands-on experience to monitor health, behavior, and development from day one. I raise Australian Shepherds for their intelligence, loyalty, and loving nature, focusing on early socialization, gentle handling, and observing each puppy’s personality to produce happy, confident, and well-adjusted companions ready for loving homes.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, and black tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Lakeisha

Lakeisha has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Lakeisha partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Our Puppy Matching Process 🐾 At Good Karma Aussies, we believe every puppy deserves the right home, and every family deserves the right match. Because each puppy develops a unique personality, energy level, confidence, and temperament, placements are based on best fit—not just color or markings. We take time to get to know our families, including lifestyle, activity level, household dynamics, dog experience, goals (companion, active lifestyle, sports, family pet), and preferences. As puppies grow, we evaluate: ✨ Temperament & personality ✨ Energy level and drive ✨ Confidence and social tendencies ✨ Family compatibility ✨ Potential for sports, adventure, or companion homes While we do our best to honor preferences for color, sex, and markings, temperament and overall fit are prioritized to help ensure long-term success for both puppy and family. We stay in close communication throughout the process with photos, updates, and guidance to help families feel confident about their match. Our goal is for each puppy to go to a loving home where they can thrive for life. Please note: We reserve the right to decline placement if we feel a home is not the best fit for one of our puppies. This decision is always made with the puppy’s long-term wellbeing in mind.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies comes vet-checked, vaccinated, and dewormed, with a health guarantee and AKC registration. They get a starter pack and daily socialization and a lifetime return policy if circumstances change. Deposit secures your puppy and applies to the total price. Transferable to another puppy if available. Full balance due by 8 weeks, or the puppy stays until paid. Once deposited, the puppy is on hold.”

Contract & health guarantee

Lakeisha may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
