Meet the breeder

I'm Sherry G., the breeder behind Gordon Farms Dobermans located in Barlow, KY. My girl is European, German and Czech. She is the foundation of our kennel. We breed to improve health, longevity, temperament and drive. I breed dogs that pass all of the health testing requirements of the United Doberman Club and Doberman PInscher Club of America. Our pups will be full of energy, play and brain power. Xena is FULLY HEALTH TESTED. All of her records are on ofa.org. She is perfect. The studs we choose will also be perfect and they are also FULLY HEALTH TESTED. Their lines will be long lived and super smart, ready for whatever activity you choose to excel in. My puppies should be companions to their owners for a long time. We are members of the United Doberman Club. We are also AKC Breeders of Heart.

Q. & A. with Sherry

  • Why did you start breeding?

I purchased my female only planning to train her for good manners and companionship. She excelled in everything we did though and was so trainable and eager to please that I decided to venture into obedience. A wonderful friend who became my mentor taught me about the bloodlines of my dog and encouraged me to improve the breed by selectively breeding her and here we are today.
  • What makes your program special?

We have researched our bloodlines extensively. We breed for longevity, health and intelligence. Our pups are all just naturally beautiful. Any stud that we select will be carefully chosen to make the best dobermann puppies possible for a long healthy life and temperament. One that will work and play beside you and excel in whatever area you choose to venture into. With this next litter we are breeding to a stud who is imported from Denmark. There will be a great amount of diversity in these pups
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
