I'm Cindy R., the breeder behind Grandma's Yorkie Cottage located in Galva, IL. Our dogs are raised in our home as part of the family. We are a simple, family-run breeding program offering loving and loyal companions to others. We focus on quality care and raising healthy yorkies the right way with lots of love, time and as part of the family.
Q. & A. with Cindy
Why did you start breeding?
I searched for a hand raised, in the home yorkie because they are so much more socialized & more advanced on house manners being part of the family. All I ever found was yorkies kept in pens or kennels. That's when I decided I would raise yorkies the right way. This benefits some lucky family that gets a very special yorkie and I get to have puppy playtime and get my puppy fix so it is a win win!
What makes your program special?
My pups get loved & doted on from day one. Here you will find truly home raised happy healthy yorkies that come pre spoiled and so well socialized that it shows! My babies are not only healthy, beautiful, and they have great personalities, great temperaments and are so smart. They are started on potty training, know many words and commands, play tug of war, catch and some just like to cuddle!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include tan and white, liver, gold, chocolate, tan and white, parti, black and tan, blue and gold, and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
