I'm Kristen S., the breeder behind Grassy Springs Poodles located in Alachua, FL. All of our dogs are loved as family members. We cherish our puppies from birth up until they leave our arms to snuggle into yours! Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.
Q. & A. with Kristen
Why did you start breeding?
I have a best friend who started breeding select poodles for temperament about 2 years ago. I was intrigued by how smart her dogs were! She became my mentor and helped me find out family dog, Merit. Merit is the best dog ever and after seeing her qualities of intelligence, loyalty, playfulness, and kindness I decided to breed her. I already knew I wanted Louie to be her stud as he is just as awesome as her! He is a family dog as well.
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is extremely small and select. I chose to breed Merit to be able to raise amazing intelligent puppies in our home to offer as the BEST family dogs EVER! They have lived in our living room since Day 1 and we are raising them on the program Puppy Culture. They are already using litterboxes at age 4 weeks and will come with a crate to continue the crate training we will start at 6 weeks.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, black, cream, red, phantom, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
