Heather was amazing with every step in the process! She knows what she is doing and she takes such great care in raising healthy/happy puppies! When I went to pick up our sweet little girl from Heather it felt like I was chatting with a friend I have known for years! Heather is an amazing breeder and a gem of a person! Thank you Heather!

Heather was responsive and such a joy to work with! She let us know all about our puppy’s budding personality and even gave us some tips for when we brought her home. Every day with our puppy since has been full of lots of joy, snuggles, and play! She came to us already becoming well adjusted to humans which was great for our busy house! Even after everything was finished, Heather still checks in! She is so great!

I couldn’t be happier with my experience getting my miniature dachshund, Frankie, from Great Basin Hounds! From the very beginning, communication was clear, friendly, and professional. They kept me updated with photos and information, and it was obvious how much love and care they put into raising their puppies. When I brought Frankie home, she was healthy, well-socialized, and already full of personality. You can tell she was raised in a nurturing environment; she adjusted so smoothly and has the sweetest temperament. I’m beyond grateful to Heather for giving me such a wonderful little girl. If you’re looking for a reputable, caring breeder who truly loves their dogs, I can’t recommend them enough!

Heather was incredible to work with. Answered all of my questions up until we picked up our sweet pup, and even after if I needed it. I will always recommend her when anyone is looking around for a dachshund. Our sweet girl, Roo has absolutely changed our lives! She is so fun and spunky and in the future when we get her a sibling, I would love to go through Heather and Great Basin Hounds again.
