Meet the breeder

I'm Reagan B., the breeder behind Grecian Kennel located in Maynardville, TN. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love! We are dog lovers through and through! Our pups are such an important part of our lives, and we can’t imagine being without them. It’s an amazing experience as breeders to provide others with puppies that we know will bring them the same joy! Here at Grecian Kennel, our babies are family-raised, socialized, litter trained, vet-checked, microchipped, with health guarantee & puppy pack. Parents are AKC and/or CKC registered and Embark tested. Some also have GenSol or UC Davis testing.

Q. & A. with Reagan

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was introduced to the dachshund breed at a young age, starting with my own little red Dachshund named Anne. My love for the breed grew even more as my sister welcomed two dachshunds into her home, deepening my connection to these loyal, spirited companions.
  • What makes your program special?

Here at Grecian Kennel, our babies are raised as a part of the family. All breeding parents are AKC and/or CKC registered and genetic tested. We have 5 acres of seclusion for the adults to enjoy and stretch their legs while playing. We also have a large breed mix, Fred, and our domestic longhair, Fennec, so they are accustomed to them as well. Our babies are raised indoors and begin life being born either in our bedroom or walk-in closet for more privacy for moms. After a few weeks, they transition to the living/dining room area. There, they are able to get accustomed to household activities and sounds. We work on socializing daily with the occasional family member and/or friend also dropping in to play with the puppies during their growth. They begin litterbox training at about 4 weeks old. This helps them to transition to pottying outside easier and allows them to be maintained indoors until fully vaccinated at about 16 weeks. Our babies come vet checked, microchipped, 1 year health guarantee, and puppy pack that contains collar, leash, toy, chew treats, baggy of dog food to transition, paperwork, blanket that smells of their first home here with mom and siblings, and applicable travel tools if being delivered such as poop bags, puppy pad for safe potty area while delivering.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, brindle, blue and cream, black and cream, fawn (isabella) and tan, blue and tan, chocolate and cream, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
