Q. & A. with Shannon
Why did you start breeding?
We started breeding with our field Labrador and had breeding goals of producing a balanced Labrador. We bred our field Labrador with a champion pedigree bench Labrador. We got into breeding to produce a dual purpose Labrador that maintains natural instincts, great temperaments, and excellent family members.
What makes your program special?
Our breedings program has been very successful in producing a balanced Labrador with best of both field and bench pedigrees. Our dogs are athletic, loving, medium drive, and easy to train.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Shannon from Green Mountain Labradors is an excellent breeder. Her dogs are beautiful animals with great temperaments and look as healthy and happy as any labs I have ever seen. All the puppies in this litter are beautiful and healthy which makes chosen one very hard. Anyone of these dogs would have been an excellent choice. My puppy, Trek, is beautiful, smart, healthy, active and has a great temperament. Shannon is an excellent communicator who updated me every few days regarding the litter. She sent out pictures and video of the pups, and mom, at all stages of development. Seeing these pups develop over time was informative and exciting. I was able to visit and choose my pup at 6 weeks. Then pick up Trek at 8 weeks. Shannon has been in contact to see how the pups are doing and will answer any questions you may have.
I recommend Shannon and Green Mountain Labradors to anyone interested in a quality dog.

Was nice to meet Ma and Pa and all the doggies. Everything went real smooth and you can tell they care for the dogs they raise.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
