I'm Nichole W., the breeder behind Greener Fields Shelties located in Woodstock, CT. Our dogs are family first. Raised in our home and spoiled by us. We want to share our love for Shelties and raise puppies that will bring immense joy to other families. We thrive to breed happy and healthy dogs and offer a lifetime of support to each new family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I’ve always been interested in genetics and breeding. Always loved making the next generation better. I fell in love with the sheltie breed and reached out to a few breeders to find a mentor. I found a lovely breeder who has taken me under her wing and I bought my first sheltie from her. He is my current Sire and my best friend.

  • What makes your program special?

    I breed from genetic health tested parents, I offer well socialized puppies. I offer limited and full AKC registration to my buyers. I also stand by being available for support for the lifetime of my puppies.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Nichole

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Nichole partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
