I'm Jing G., the breeder behind Greyfarer Czechoslovakian Vlcak located in Los Angeles, CA. We're a small kennel that breeds CSV puppies for show and sport. We select quality studs for each litter from around the world. We are members of the Czechoslovakian Vlcak Club of America. We also helped establish the genetic purebred baseline for the CSV with Embark and are proud advocates for the breed! We look forward to connecting with you!
Q. & A. with Jing
Why did you start breeding?
Growing up, we had several other breeds. After I graduated college, I decided to bring home a large breed (then I had two toy breed dogs, college dorms aren't roomy) with whom I could get started in dog sports and shows. I purchased a male CSV, went to Poland to pick him up, and that's how I got started. Initially, I wasn't interested in breeding, but over the years I've come to another conclusion. I am devoted to the preservation of the CSV and ensuring there are happy and healthy dogs for others to enjoy just as much as I have!
What makes your program special?
I breed from well-rounded adults who fit the standard and are extensively proven in both the show and sport rings. I search for interesting stud dogs for service from around the world to produce dogs not only exceptional in the states but also with a lot of interest in countries with a lot of breed competition. Every litter I attempt is unique in pedigree and low in the coefficient of inbreeding. I am very dedicated to what I do and what I am trying to achieve as a breeder. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the CSV line!
Where do your breeding dogs live?

Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Repository, OFA/CHIC DNA Repository, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Chondrodysplasia/Dwarfism, DNA Profile
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
