Q. & A. with Patty

  • Why did you start breeding?

I used to breed Labrador Retrievers, but after purchasing my first Aussie, there was no going back! I believe that every family should experience the love that an Aussie brings. I strive to produce excellent representations of the breed standard with a focus on temperament and genetics.
  • What makes your program special?

I focus on breeding to the standard and for great temperaments. I love my dogs and they are part of my family! By creating an environment of health and harmony for young puppies, we believe we are able to give each little pup the very best chance to reach its potential, express its best character, and bring forth its greatest gifts in the relationship with itself and to its family.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I had the BEST experience with Patty at Greywood Farm! From the very beginning she was extremely responsive even sending me photos and videos every few days! Updating me constantly. You can tell from the moment you start talking to Patty that she really dedicates her life to breeding and she cares deeply about the dogs and cares about selecting which families she is choosing to release her puppies to! She made the entire process so enjoyable :) We are so in love with our puppy Whiskey! He’s the best boy- such a great temper and if we ever get another Aussie, we know where we are going!

My experience with Patty and Greywood Farm Aussies was amazing! From the day of contact, she was very communicative and informative. She sent me photos and gave me copies of all documents needed. She also prepared a gift basket with puppy essentials. My puppy, Rowan, was already potty trained when I adopted him at 8 weeks. Even after adoption, she was there whenever I had questions or needed help.

A friend pointed us in the direction of Patty and she was great to work with from the start. From her knowledge of Aussies to care for the sweet babies that were just brought into the world, her dogs, that made us go from considering another Aussie to being a no brainer. Patty provided regular updates and even helped us contact Good Dog regarding a small part of the process. Good Dog made the initial process a one-stop shop until we had the joy of meeting Lily with Patty. We would be lost with our sweet Lily now part of our growing family and we are so happy!

I came across Patty and her litter on Good Dog! I put a request on one of the puppies and she was super quick to get in contact with me for next steps! Patty was great at communicating with me and very helpful at getting me in touch with good dog for further questions I had! I loved the way she provided weekly pictures of my puppy and how she worked with me on the pick up! With her I wouldn’t have my baby Koda! I definitely Patty, Greywood Farms, and of course a lovely Aussie!

Our experience with Greywood Aussie Farm and Patty Thompson was awesome. Back in January I put my name on her list to be informed and contacted for her next litter of Aussie puppies. The puppies were born in April and on Facebook we were able to see our future puppy after she was born and daily saw her on Facebook with pictures and videos. It was incredible and so rewarding watching her change weekly. We knew her before we met her. I highly recommend Patty, Sean and Puppysitter Sansa (retired Aussie mom who helps with the puppies) so amazing to watch her interactions with the puppies. The experience of adopting our Madeline was truly exciting and more than I ever dreamed. Our Madeline is doing great. One week at home and she totally has this potty training! At night she is sleeping between 5-7 hours. I highly recommend Greywood Farm if you are looking for an awesome Aussie!
