Meet the breeder

I'm Matthew G., the breeder behind Griffin Tides - Australian Shepherds located in Grand Rapids, MI. Our goal is to produce well-adjusted companions that thrive as family members and competitive companions. We are a small breeder with the intent of only a very few select litters based on temperament and breed standards. Puppies are raised in our home with our family and crated on and off for potty training before placement.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We were inspired to start breeding after procuring our first stud, Atlas, from an AKC champion with a great temperament. Luna was bought as an agility dog and loves flyball. We want to keep our dogs in our family for as long as possible so we made the decision to breed them so that we can have a piece of both of them going forward. We also plan to breed the dog we keep in about 4-5 years and continue that this cycle.

    Our dogs and the early in home socialization.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black tri-color and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Matthew

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Matthew partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
